2024 Parade Entry Form

Our goal is to honor those who have served and continue to do so. It’s our wish that each entry add a statement of thanks on both sides of the vehicle you enter into the parade. Thank you for your support!

Instructions

The 2024 parade will take place at 11 AM on Monday, November 11, 2024. Complete & sign the form and return it with your parade entry fee (if applicable). Incomplete applications will not be accepted.

Please carefully review the rules for the parade prior to completing the application.

Entry Fee:
There is an entry fee of $50. However, this fee is waived if your entry is a member of any of the following: All Veterans organizations, all Military Service members, and groups including Active Duty, Reserve and ROTC entries, JROTC, all individual Veteran entries, Gold star families, sponsoring organizations, all bands, all youth and children’s groups, and all community service organizations.

Judging:
Entries will not be automatically added to the list to be judged. If you would like your entry evaluated by the judges, make sure to check the box on the application. Below is a list of the categories.

Deadline:
All entries must be received by October 31, 2024 (Halloween). This will ensure that you’re included in the announcer’s guide and correctly staged. All efforts will be made to accomodate all Veterans. Late business entries will not be guaranteed entry into the parade. A late fee of $25 may be assessed to late entries.

Equestrian Entry

All equestrian entries will be judged and evaluated on control. Please note that you will need to provide your own clean-up crew.

What is the total length of your entry?

An individual vehicle (ex. semi-truck + trailer) can't exceed 53 feet. This information is important to ensure enough space is allocated for staging.

Announcer's Commentary: Please describe your entry and/or organization for our parade announcers:

Please list by name, branch of service, era served, and all veterans in your entry. For non-veteran participants, please list any information you want announced from the announcers stand during review. All attempts will be made to read completely through. The announcer reserves the right to shorten it where time doesn't allow.

Throwing Objects

By state law and for safety purposes, all entries agree to refrain from throwing anything. If you desire to hand out flyers, candy, flags or anything else it must be handed hand to hand. If you throw anything you risk being escorted from the parade.

Our organization will abide by these rules as set forth by the Linn County Oregon Veterans Day Parade to ensure the safety of all concerned their volunteers, officials, and absolve the parade committee, and the volunteers, the City of Albany and their personnel from all liability of our voluntary participation in the 2024 Linn County Oregon Veterans Day Parade to be held on November 11, 2024.
